Stoning in Islam

In the news again this year we see that Iran is allegedly about to stone a woman for adultery.

If we listen to the purveyors of the Wahabi (sometimes misnamed ‘Salafi’) sect — and many other misguided members of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaa — we are told that the punishment in Islam for the married adulterer is indeed stoning to death.
Some Shi’a scholars make the same claim.

Perhaps the real title of this article should be

”Who Do We Worship: Men or Allah?”
