For the past thousand years or so, mainstream scholars of the major sects of Islam have been upholding a false image of our deen wherein the revelation from Allah gets to the ummah through

• the Qur’an,
• the Sunnah (hadith), and
• the Ijma’Ulama (consensus of the scholars)
